Paper Shade

The lampshade is made from natural paper and should be kept dry. Remove dust regularly with a feather duster or soft, dry microfibre cloth. For delicate folds and corners, a cool hairdryer or soft air blower can be used from a safe distance. Avoid water, damp cloths, liquid cleaners and chemical solvents, as moisture can deform or stain the paper.

Wood & Metal

Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid abrasive materials and harsh detergents.

Light, Heat & Humidity

Use low-heat LED bulbs only. Do not use incandescent or halogen bulbs, as excessive heat may damage the paper shade. Keep the lamp away from radiators, other direct heat sources and prolonged direct sunlight.

TEX-lamps are designed for indoor use. Avoid bathrooms, saunas and areas exposed to steam or high humidity.

Handling

The paper structure is delicate. When moving or adjusting the lamp, hold the wooden or metal structure rather than pressing directly on the paper folds.

Natural Ageing

Paper, wood and metal are natural materials. Subtle variations in colour, texture and surface are part of their character. Over time, the materials may naturally change in tone and surface appearance.

Repair & Questions

It is part of Studio D-ja’s philosophy to create objects that last over time. If your TEX-lamp needs attention due to damage or wear, or if you need a replacement part or a new lampshade, please get in touch with us. Depending on the lamp and its condition, we can explore the possibility of repairing or replacing the affected component, including making a new lampshade for purchase when needed.

Replacement parts are not currently offered as standard items, so each case is considered individually. Any repair, replacement part or new lampshade will be quoted separately and is subject to an additional cost.

Sirto Chair

Wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth, and wipe away spills promptly. Avoid abrasive materials, strong detergents and chemical cleaners, which may damage the wood surface.

Designed for indoor use, the chair should be kept away from prolonged exposure to moisture, high humidity and direct heat. Variations in colour, grain and texture are natural characteristics of wood, and the surface may gradually change in tone with age and exposure to light.

Uni-OH Earrings

Gently wipe the earrings with a soft, dry cloth after use. Avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume, cosmetics, lotions and other chemicals, as these may affect the metal surface.

Store the earrings in a dry place, and avoid contact with other jewellery or hard surfaces that may scratch the finish.

D-ja Tote Bag

Gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth when needed. For heavier marks, use mild soap and water. Avoid bleach, harsh detergents and chemical solvents, and allow the bag to air dry naturally.

Keep the bag away from direct heat and do not iron the material. Tyvek® may naturally develop creases and changes in texture through use; these are part of the material's character and do not necessarily indicate damage.
